Jansky Residence (SLR2)
The SLR-2 House is currently being constructed for Liz and Lee Jansky, in Potomac, Maryland. The existing split level house is a mirror plan of the existing split level home of the SLR-1 House (Arehart Residence), which was completed in October 2010. This intervention is centered on large, combined kitchen, living, and dining spaces, all under a roof plane sloping up to 14 feet, and gesturing to private gardens. The master bedroom suite is taking on a dramatic, new, modern form. An interior courtyard will enhance the indoor-outdoor relationship. The design will also include many green building features, similar to all of our projects over the past 40 years.
